Spring Kicks!
If there's one thing I love it's some new spring shoes, especially athletic flats for women. I've been crusing the Internet and here are the top 4 on my list:

Royal Elastics Bolta, in black and rose gold:
I love the style of the shoe, and in two standout color combos, these are at the top of my list.
Gola Nova:
The Classic English soccer shoe company is making a jump into stylish ladies footwear. This shoe has all the comfort and versatility of a trainer, but the look of a flat. I also LOVE the jewel tone color with the gold logo on the side.
Onitsuka Tiger:
Another great take on the always classic Tiger from Asics. I have a pair of the Tigress shoes from a few years back and I STILL get compliments when I wear them. Great color combinations, as always from Asics. I also love the topsider-inspired front styling. Extra cute detailing.
Now on to the negative:
One shoe that DOES NOT get my approval is the Puma Spadrille. While I'm usually a HUGE fan of Puma, and their cutting edge approach to athletic apparel, These shoes fall majorly flat in my book. They try to make up for the horrendous style by using a great color palette, but it just doesn't work. The 2" platform sole, the bunched up looking leather, it's all just BAD.

Dunny French Series!
I picked up one of the new Dunny French Series this weekend. I got one by artist Genevieve Gauckler. It has some really great colors, and well as a smart, sparing use of typography!
Love it.

Also, I found a great new illustration team selling their work on Etsy, Berkley Illustration. They have some really quirky prints of illustrations they did with Animals in classical portrait settings. My favorite is the Tiger as a decorated naval officer, seen below. Love it!

Podcast Crazy!
While I don't advocate listening to the radio very often, one station that I'm quite fond of is Cleveland's NPR affiliate 90.3. Over the past few years, there are are a few shows I've grown fond of: This American Life and All Songs Considered.

Chip Kidd: Revealed!
There's a great video interview of amazing designer Chip Kidd floating around the internet today. Originally from Dwell, it gives a sneak peek into the life, work and apartment of the elusive designer. Aside from being a prolific designer (and having my absolute DREAM JOB!) Kidd is truly a magnificent speaker. AK + I saw him in Dallas a few years back, and his lecture was so funny that references still pop up in our daily conversations. And we STILL laugh about it.

I'm also absolutley in LOVE with the new Marc Jacobs ad campaign staring none other than Victoria "Posh" Beckham. Juergen Teller has done some great photography for Jacobs before (Remeber the Dakota Fanning Ad? Creeeeepy!), but these are just perfect. Funny and subversive, it's great to see the designer, photography and celebrities all take some calculated creative risks.
This one's my favorite!
